On Friday last week we celebrated, to the day, 10 years in business with a drinks party held at Ealing Cricket Club and invited many friends, clients and colleagues who, I am glad to say, all came along and helped us celebrate!
We have, in our 10th year, held a 10k run, produced a video based around 10 exercises and plan to have a client challenge in the lead up to December based around 10 exercises designed to hit the whole body and improve fitness and body shape.
Throughout this year I have really tried hard to concentrate on marketing, both on and off-line to help boost our presence locally and these events/ideas have all been part of this project which, I hope, will carry on into 2014.
Now, I am not saying I am particularly brilliant at marketing; I am a Personal Trainer, not a marketing expert, but it strikes me that the only way to be successful in business is to build relationships especially locally, where our entire client base hang out!
This is one way that small business such as ourselves can compete with the big boys, and actually we can surpass them by providing a place for our clients, where, to steal a phrase, “Everybody knows your name, and they’re always glad you came…….”
