Gym Exercises to Improve your Running

Continuing with our running theme this month, today we have 3 short videos for you showing how gym based work can help improve your running technique and therefore running times.

A lot of runners neglect this side of their training especially the upper body work, but if you are looking to improve your technique and times then these exercises will certainly help.

This first video shows two exercises for the upper body; Single Arm Cable Row and Press Ups………

 

In our Second video we highlight four exercises for the shoulders; strong shoulders encourage good posture and therefore improve your ability to breathe correctly whilst running………..

 

Our third and final video in this post shows two exercises for the Lower Back, Glutes and Hamstrings, all crucial areas of work for good running performance…………

 

These videos highlight just a few exercises that can really help your running performance and help to keep you injury free.
